About
I am an empirical economist specializing in the economics of digitalization and artificial intelligence, technological change, firms, skills, and labor markets. My research combines causal microeconometric approaches with large-scale administrative and digital data sources, using machine learning and natural language processing to measure technology adoption and changing skill demands.
My work has been published in leading international journals such as the Journal of the European Economic Association and the Journal of Public Economics. I lead several large third-party-funded research projects and regularly advise policy institutions, including the OECD, the European Commission, and German and Luxembourg ministries. I served as an invited expert for the German Bundestag’s Enquete Commission on Artificial Intelligence.
